Learn in the classroom, get experience on the water
This 8 week certified Power Squadron Sail course dives deep into everything from knots to points of sail to navigation,"rules of the road, and docking and heavy weather sailing. It's a very comprehensive curriculum to help any sailor get more confident at the helm and set sail to new horizons.
In classroom sailing instruction will be held at The Boat House Grille banquet room at Lake Mead Marina. If you want to sign up for the on-the-water training as well, keelboats and sailing instructors will also be out of the Lake Mead Marina according to the schedule below.
Space is limited for this intensive course. We are accepting a maximum of 20 students so there is more attention given to each student and more hands-on opportunities on the boats. Weekly quizzes also mean better topic retention. There is a final exam to be certified.
Be ready for your sailing season!
