Black Canyon Water Trail

Experience Black Canyon Water Trail - Weather Conditions You Can Expect

The Black Canyon Water Trail is located along the Lower Colorado River in a rugged portion of Arizona and Nevada within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Beginning at the base of the awesome Hoover Dam, the water trail meanders through the Black Canyon for nearly 30 colorful, tranquil miles.

The officially marked water trail does end south of Hoover Dam at Eldorado Canyon, a well known and historical mining area on Lake Mohave. This dramatic wildlife packed and protected river setting provides one of a kind paddling and rafting opportunities in side canyons with flowing hot springs. History and wildlife watching fans will find books and literature about the Black Canyon Water Trail, early inhabitants, early settler life, and exploring tips at marinas along this section of the Lower Colorado River.
